Popular Sexy Places to Drink in Las Vegas

Chalk this up to being an old soul. I don’t like the thrum of nightclubs or that stark, bare hospital restaurant look — especially if drinks are involved.

Drinking spots should have character.

Sexy places to drink are either classy, modern, alluring or all of the above.

Las Vegas is about more than strip clubs and bachelorette parties. Sophistication lives in the dark, inviting corners of the most well-known resorts, and it’s an invitation into a less rowdy environment that attracts the best clientele,

Keep in mind that my taste trends towards the dark, brooding atmospheres. If you want some bright, neon fun, Velveteen Rabbit and Gatsby might be more your speed.

Some of these also trend towards the casual side — each choice is either sexy, luxury or both. Plus, nothing says “luxury” like a quality drink in hand with good company.

To those of you with good taste.

Vic’s

Symphony Park

Vic’s is brand-new and one of my current favorites. A swinging jazz club with a separate bar, serving up strong espresso martinis with Buffalo Trace Bourbon cream? No brainer. It’s an easygoing spot that’s set to take off in coming times.

Watch for the neon cowboy outside the building, and listen for the LVA Jazz Trio playing some sultry tunes nightly in the main dining room. While the bar is a sweet spot to take in the crowds, the dining room is something special, where the music is just right and the guests can’t help but to relax.

Rouge Room

There’s nothing sexier than the velvet-draped Parisian aesthetic. An instant classic, Rouge Room is one of the only places in the city that captures the allure of a vintage night out — complete with some signature Vegas indoor palm trees to stay on brand.

Drinks range from handcrafted cocktails to sexy champagne flutes, wine, beer, punch bowls and spirits. Don’t miss the hot piano and cool singers on Jazz Thursdays.

Not many Strip bars are loved by locals and visitors, but The Barbershop captures hearts. An elusive entrance beyond an old-timey barbershop opens up into a leather-draped, wood-encrusted heaven complete with checkered floors.

Easy’s

Hate nightclubs? Me too. Easy’s is far from the typical over-inflated DJ booth and cheap well drinks that a standard club offers. The cocktails are complete stories in hand-blown glasses with interesting vestibules, perfect Instagram fodder. Even the ice cubes are thoughtfully done — my recent cocktail order housed a lemon-colored bear.

The best part? All of the music and entertainment is live, furthering the intimacy of the venue.

S Bar

Mandalay Bay

Don’t sleep on S Bar. It’s a spirited lounge that has all of the atmosphere of a favorite hometown dive all dressed up. Cool blue accents and a dark, inviting space make anyone feel at home. I particularly enjoy the touches of neon and very mugler that reinforce the fun.

Allē Lounge

Resorts World

When it comes to Las Vegas views, I prefer to look out on the city from a posh setting, rather than a rooftop pool. Allē Lounge is gorgeous and cozy, with homey touches like high-backed armchairs and handcrafted desserts in constant rotation. People come inside simply to look out at the view from the 66th floor.

Cleaver Bar

The Collective

When steakhouses have more to offer than prime cuts, it’s worth noticing. Everyone knows about the amazing cocktails at Herbs and Rye, and another similar spot sits in the city’s wings.

Cleaver brings surf and turf up to an elevated level. Cool and swanky, with rich wood furniture and wrought iron touches, the bar is the hottest spot in the place. Like Herbs and Rye, the retro atmosphere brings that cozy old-timey experience to the table.

While the cocktails don’t offer the same over-the-top presentation that Strip bars are famous for, they’re certainly delicious.

The Laundry Room

This is everything a speakeasy should be. What makes The Laundry Room a luxury bar is its commitment to authenticity. Every rule in its menu is enforced, from the cell phone restrictions to no PDA. It’s tailor-made, classy and easy to have one-of-a-kind visits every single time.

Delilah

Wynn Las Vegas

An architectural marvel, Delilah is truly one of the sexy places to drink inside Wynn. Let’s get one thing straight though — I go to Delilah for the wine. Of course the cocktails are to die for, but this contemporary American diner has the most incredible sommelier and wine team running the show. Joined by an upscale yet classic ambiance — where ordering a burger isn’t weird, it’s encouraged — Delilah brings that expected juxtaposition

Downtown Cocktail Room

Fremont Street

Downtown Cocktail Room is the definition of a hideaway. While Fremont Street caters to a rowdy crowd, DCR lives in its own relaxed, luxurious world.

This place is a deal in more ways than one. A half-off happy hour with $10 cocktails affords all of the class without the price tag. Its elusive location is perfect for romantic date nights out, intimate drinks aways from the lunacy of downtown or a dark, cool enclave that’s best enjoyed after walking around in the hot Vegas sun for hours.

More Sexy Places to Drink

At Avison Ventures, we’re a toast to the most crowd. That means we’re into wine, one-of-a-kind cocktails and beers that college kids don’t drink. There’s more wine and cocktail fun at the Las Vegas Strip bars I didn’t mention, alongside coveted hotel lounges.
