I have a hard time eating at steakhouses. No matter how wealthy I become someday, I will never justify the price of a steak that I can make at home — or force my fiancé to make for me.
Seafood restaurants, on the other hand, are worth every penny. Since fresh-caught fish isn’t exactly in abundant supply in Las Vegas, going for top-dollar dishes is imperative for the best possible experience — and Ocean Prime creates just that. They craft menus and memories through the simple concept of really, really good food.

Ocean Prime’s 18th location is a feast for the eyes. Perched atop a private mezzanine between ARIA and The Cosmopolitan in the 63 building, the comfortable elegance stretches from its sitting room entrance to the patio expanse. All of the right touches of velvet and metal trim are on full display.

Every dish is an art piece on a plate. From well-placed garnishes to high-piled meat and veg, the chefs in the Ocean Prime kitchen know how to mold an excellent display across every course.
Just like the seafood, the cocktails don’t get much fresher than the just-mixed selections at Ocean Prime.
The presentation happens on the tables themselves, with cocktail shakers and the occasional steaming glass livening up the ambiance in the best way.
I recommend getting the Berries & Bubbles, poured over dry ice smoke for an enchanting effect to match the taste.
Surf And Turf Unlike Any Other

From snacks to mains, the dishes blend simplicity with creativity. Open wide for the white truffle caviar deviled eggs, with fluffy whipped yolks garnished with truffle shavings and caviar whispers.
On the turf side, the steaks and their accessories hold a court of their own. Béarnaise, black truffle butter and au poivre sauce are just a few of the options, al of them so delicious that they warrant multiple visits for multiple meals.
Don’t Forget Dessert

I’m not usually a dessert person, but the sous chef was a friend — and he made sure we were taken care of.
The carrot cake is a ten-layer delight, with generous layers of cream cheese icing and pineapple syrup. We also got to sample the butter cake, with vanilla ice cream and raspberry sauce that brought literal tears to the eyes of everyone at our table.
Next time, the crème bruleé is on the list. Any restaurant that perfects this hundreds-year-old French dessert is worth visiting again and again, and I have a feeling that Ocean Prime is a caramelized custard savant.
I didn’t get to try the espresso martini, but it’s on my list. After all, espresso martinis are having a moment right now.
